FIGURE DRAWING #SP09 -
Working from live models, students will learn to depict
the figure, nude and clothed. They will learn to use
gestural drawings to quickly capture poses, eventually
moving towards more detailed work. The materials
used will be graphite, charcoal and conté crayon.
Composition, editing and strength of image will
be stressed.
Classes meet March 30 – June 1
Wednesdays, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

BIG, BOLD PAINTING WITH ACRYLICS #SP26
Students will learn to overcome the challenges of
painting large. They will be instructed regarding
material selection, subject matter, composition and
painting techniques. This class will stress painting
with commitment, spontaneity, looseness and creative
imagination.
Classes meet March 29 – May 31
Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

THE FIGURE: DRAWING TO PAINTING #SP28
Working from live models, students will learn to depict
the figure, nude and clothed. They will learn to use
gestural drawings to quickly capture poses, eventually
moving towards more detailed work. The first five
weeks will be spent drawing with graphite, charcoal
and conté crayon. The second five weeks will be spent
learning to use drawing skills to create a painting.
Composition, editing and strength of image will
be stressed.
